Dr Rasool Jalili

Rasool Jalili was born in 1961 in Eghlid, Fars Province, Iran. He graduated from Imam-Khomeini High-School (named 25 Shahrivar, before the revolution) in Eghlid. In the universities annual entrance exam in 1978, he was admitted to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad; where he received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 1985. Later on, in 1986, he was admitted to Sharif University of Technology, Department of Computer Engineering, as a graduate student for the M.Sc. degree.

In 1989, Rasool graduated from Sharif and awarded as the best student in the department (Software Engineering discipline). In 1990, Rasool got admission from The University of Sydney, Australia, and continued his study in Basser Department of Computer Science; now is named "School of Information Technology". He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995, and received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, focusing on Distributed Operating Systems.

In 1995, Rasool joined the Department of Computer Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He is now an associate professor, doing research in access control and database security in his departmental laboratory.

He is now the Editor-In-Chief of ISeCure, The ISC International Journal of Information Security.  Your contribution to this highly prestigious journal dedicated to all aspects of Information Security is welcome.

In October 2010, he was assigned as the dean of Scientific and International Cooperation in Sharif University of Technology.  His responsibility was to promote scientific and international cooperation with the other research/educational institutes around the world.  His responsibility was terminated in April 2012.
